Cargo charter

Cargo charter and time-critical freight

When freight has to move on a clock the scheduled network cannot meet, an aircraft is chartered for the consignment rather than for the seat.

Freight that cannot wait for the next flight

Scheduled freight works until the consignment is too large, too urgent or too valuable to sit in a queue behind everyone else's. A charter changes the arithmetic: the aircraft leaves when the load is ready, goes where the load is needed, and carries nothing else. What it costs is usually less than what the delay costs, which is the calculation worth doing before anything else.

The load decides the aircraft, not the route. Weight, volume, door dimensions and category between them rule out most types before availability is even a question, so those are the first things we ask for. Once the aircraft is right, the work is clearances, customs and handling at both ends — arranged alongside the flight rather than after it.

Consignment category, weight and dimensions determine the aircraft. Tell us those first.

Capabilities

  • Aircraft to the consignment

Aircraft sourced to the weight, volume and door dimensions of the load rather than the reverse.

  • AOG and spares

Grounded-aircraft components moved to where the aircraft is sitting, at the speed that costs least.

  • Clearances and handling

Landing permissions, customs handling and apron arrangements filed alongside the flight.

  • Chain of custody

Documentation from collection to delivery, so the consignment is accounted for at every stage.

Where this support helps

When freight is chartered

  • A production line stopped for want of a single component.
  • An aircraft on the ground waiting on a part from another city.
  • Oversized or awkward loads the scheduled network will not accept.
  • A consignment whose value makes a shared aircraft the wrong answer.

A clear, coordinated process

How it works

  1. Describe the load

Weight, dimensions, category and packaging. These decide the aircraft before anything else does.

  2. Aircraft and routing

Suitable types identified with the operator named, and the routing costed to the destination.

  3. Permissions

Clearances, customs and handling arranged at both ends before the aircraft is committed.

  4. Move and confirm

Collection, flight and delivery, with confirmation at each stage rather than only at the end.

Safety & operational support

Assured on every flight

  • One point of contact

Freight, clearance and handling coordinated by the same desk rather than by three of them.

  • Around the clock

Time-critical freight is quoted and moved outside office hours as a matter of course.

  • Documented throughout

Paperwork travels with the consignment and is available to you at every stage.
